Folks, here's the deal: I'm not gonna try and sugarcoat it, things have been rough for the people of Judah. Literally, the Lord has destroyed them without mercy. My father used to say, the young and old alike have been scattered and gone. See here, Jack, the Lord has done it with a mighty arm and a fierce anger. What was that? He has wiped out everything in their path, like a raging fire in a field of grain. Or uh, you know, he has broken down their walls and left them defenseless. Not gonna happen, he has brought an enemy to attack them and cut off their strength. I tell you what, he has snatched away their joy like they were a passing cloud, and he has blocked out their prayers. Excuse me, the Lord was like a lion stalking them, and he left them broken and in tears. C'mon, man, no malarkey, their leaders were weak and helpless like little sheep and their people were scattered all over the world. Listen, Jack, their enemies laughed and jeered, taunting the Lord and mocking his people. I'm not joking, the Lord was so angry that his temple was defiled. Here's the deal, folks, the Lord has done all this, and he has made the people of Judah suffer.
