Folks! Listen, Jack. Here's the deal. I'm not joking when I say that in 2 Corinthians 1, the apostle Paul is talking about the comfort he and his companions have received from God while they have been going through some tough times. My father used to say that God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others in their troubles with the same comfort we receive from him. See here, Jack, that's literally just what Paul is saying here. He says that God comforts us so that when others are going through tough times, we can share with them the same comfort that God has given to us. Or uh, you know, we can literally just pass it on. What was that? Not gonna happen? C'mon, man! No malarkey! I tell you what, God is faithful and reliable. He is the one who makes us strong, and the one who will keep us from falling. Excuse me, but that's literally what Paul is saying here.
