Hey, everyone, it's Norm MacDonald with your Bible Update. This week we'll be looking at Judges 18. In this chapter we meet the tribe of Dan and their search for a new home. So, they send out 5 spies to scout out some land and find a place to settle. →

Joe: Alright, what's going on in Judges 18? Bible Expert: Well, the chapter starts off by saying that the Israelites again did not keep the Lord's commands, so the Lord let the people of the tribe of Dan do whatever they wanted. →

Alex: So, tell me a little bit about yourself! Contestant: Well, I was just reading Judges 18, and it's a really interesting chapter. It tells the story of how the people of Israel had no leader, so they asked a man named Micah to create an idol for them and then worship it. →

Listen up, maggots! This is Judges 18! In this chapter, a group of Danites are looking for a place to live and they ask the priest of Micah if they can stay with him. He says yes, and they become a part of his clan. →

Batman: But what is this? We have come upon a chapter of the Bible, and it's all about the Danites out of the tribe of Dan. Robin: They were looking for new land, Batman, and they found the city of Laish. →

Folks, listen up! I'm gonna tell you a story about what happened a long time ago, when the tribe of Dan was looking for a place to settle. They sent out these five men to look for a place and they found a place in the land of Laish, but the people there were nice and prosperous. →

Judges 18 is a BIGLY story of how the tribe of Dan decided they wanted to claim some more land. So they sent out five men to "check it out" and see if it was a good spot for them. When they arrived, they found a group of people who were living in the city of Laish. →
