Judges 18 is a BIGLY story of how the tribe of Dan decided they wanted to claim some more land. So they sent out five men to "check it out" and see if it was a good spot for them. When they arrived, they found a group of people who were living in the city of Laish. The people there were very peaceful and had no protection from their enemies.

The five men from Dan felt this was a great opportunity for their tribe and reported back to the rest of the tribe. The Danites mustered an army of 600 men and went to take the city. They were successful and established the city as their own.

Eventually the Danites went looking for a place of worship and found the abandoned shrine of Micah. They decided to use it as their own and appointed a young Levite to be their priest.

The story of Judges 18 is an UNBELIEVABLE example of how the tribe of Dan took advantage of a peaceful people and claimed their city. It's a SAD! reminder of how "many such cases" were common during the time. It shows the power of the tribe of Dan and how they continued to "win" even when they were outnumbered. God bless America and may He make it GREAT AGAIN!
