Alex Trebek: "So, what can you tell me about your hobbies?"

Contestant: "Well, I like to read the Bible and I just finished Judges 11."

Alex Trebek: "Oh, great. So, what did you learn?"

Contestant: "Well, Judges 11 tells the story of Jephthah, a brave and righteous warrior who was chosen to lead an army against the Ammonites. He made a vow to God that if he was victorious, he would sacrifice whatever came out of his house first to honor his victory. Unfortunately, when he returned home, the first thing he saw was his daughter, so he was forced to keep his vow and sacrifice her. Fortunately, his daughter was willing to accept her fate and Jephthah was able to honor his vow without breaking his heart."

Alex Trebek: "That's...interesting. How about we move on to something else. What's your favorite type of cuisine?"

Contestant: "Well, Judges 11 also tells the story of the Israelites' defeat of the Ammonites. The Israelites were victorious, and the Ammonites were forced to pay tribute to them. The Israelites also gained control of many cities in the area, including the city of Gilead."

Alex Trebek: *sighs* "That's great. Let's, uh, try something else. What's your favorite color?"

Contestant: "Well, Judges 11 also tells the story of the Israelites' defeat of the people of Ephraim. The Ephraimites were so frightened by the Israelites' military might that they ran away and hid in the marshlands. The Israelites were able to capture the fleeing Ephraimites, thanks to a clever ruse involving the use of a shibboleth."

Alex Trebek: *sighs* "That's...fascinating. Let's move on to something else."
