Alex Trebek: So, tell me a little bit about yourself.

Contestant: Well, I could tell you about the Bible. In Judges 3, the Israelites keep disobeying God, so He sends them into exile. He also allows some of the nations to remain in Israel as a test for the Israelites, so that they can learn from their mistakes.

Alex Trebek: (Rolling his eyes) Uh, okay. Anything else?

Contestant: Yes, actually. So, God sends Othniel, a relative of Caleb, to lead the Israelites as a judge. Othniel defeats the oppressors and brings peace to the land, but the Israelites soon turn back to their wicked ways. So, God sends more judges to lead the people, such as Ehud, Shamgar, Deborah, Gideon, and Jephthah. Each judge leads the people for a period of time, but again, the Israelites eventually turn away from God and fall into idolatry and sin.

Alex Trebek: (Sighing) Right, so what else?

Contestant: After the last judge, Samson, the Israelites are eventually taken into captivity by the Philistines.

Alex Trebek: (Sarcastically) And I suppose you're just going to keep going with the Bible for the rest of the game?
