Alex Trebek: So, tell me about yourself.

Contestant: Well, I've been studying the Bible, and I'd like to summarize Judges 10.

Alex Trebek: *groans* Alright, go ahead.

Contestant: Judges 10 tells of the Israelites' apostasy and their oppression by the Philistines and Ammonites. So, the Israelites cry out to God, who sends them a judge, Jephthah. Jephthah defeats the Ammonites in battle and makes a vow that if he is victorious he will offer a burnt offering. He is victorious and offers his daughter as a burnt offering.

Alex Trebek: *Exasperated* Alright, alright. Is that it?

Contestant: Not quite. After Jephthah's death, the Israelites fall away from the Lord again and are oppressed by the Philistines. To save them, God raises up other judges, Ibzan, Elon, and Abdon. Eventually, the Israelites turn back to the Lord and are delivered from their enemies.

Alex Trebek: *Sighs* I suppose that's it then.
