Contestant: Well, I was just about to tell you about Exodus 23.

Contestant: In this chapter, God tells the Israelites not to spread false rumors, to keep their promises, and to keep the Sabbath Day holy. He also tells them that they should not make a covenant with the people of the land they are occupying, as they will be led astray by their idol worship. God also commands them to completely destroy the pagan altars and idols of the people they are occupying, and to not worship their gods. Finally, God promises protection to the Israelites and tells them that He will send a messenger to lead them into the Promise Land.
