Alex Trebek: Alright, so tell me a bit about yourself!

Contestant: Well, I'm a big fan of the Bible and I'd love to tell you a bit about Exodus 21 if that's alright?

Alex Trebek: [sighs] I guess...

Contestant: Okay, so the chapter opens with the Lord giving instructions to Moses regarding the laws of slavery. If someone owns a Hebrew slave, the slave must be released after six years of service, and the owner must give a gift for the slave's freedom. The Lord then lays out laws for accidental manslaughter, debt slavery, and injury caused by an animal. The chapter also outlines the laws of personal responsibility, such as how a thief must pay double for a stolen item, and how someone who injures another must pay for the medical bills. Finally, the Lord forbids the Israelites from kidnapping people and selling them as slaves.

Alex Trebek: [sighs again] Alright, that's great. Moving on, what's your favorite color?
