Alex Trebek: So, what brings you here today?

Contestant: Well, Alex, I'm here to tell you about the events of Exodus 9.

Alex Trebek: Ugh, not this again. (Sighs) Alright, go ahead.

Contestant: So, in Exodus 9, God sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh to deliver a message: let my people go! Pharaoh refused, so God sent a series of plagues to try to convince him. First, he sent a plague of frogs, then gnats, then flies, then livestock diseases, boils, hail, locusts, and darkness. Pharaoh still refused, but eventually, God sent the final plague: the death of the firstborn in Egypt. Pharaoh finally relented, and the Israelites were freed from their bondage.

Alex Trebek: (Exasperated) So, we've gone from frogs to death of the firstborn in one chapter?

Contestant: That's right.

Alex Trebek: (Sighs) Alright, let's move on.
