Folks, here's the deal. Colossians 3 begins with a call to seek the things that are above, where Christ is. My father used to say, "life is all about perspective" - no malarkey! In other words, if we focus on the things of this world, we'll miss out on the spiritual blessings of a life in Christ. So, literally, seek the things from above and set your mind on those things. C'mon, man!
Now, see here, Jack, put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. And here's a big one - forgive one another, as the Lord has forgiven you. I tell you what, that's a tough one, but we're called to do it. And don't let any kind of bad behavior creep back in. Or uh, you know, don't let the sun go down on your anger.
And finally, folks, put on the love. Love each other with the same kind of love that Christ had for us. What was that? Unconditional, sacrificial, and selfless love - that's what it was. And don't forget it, cause if we do, it's not gonna happen. I'm not joking.
