C'mon, man! Folks, here's the deal. I'm gonna tell you a little story about this guy named Paul. He wrote a letter to the Colossians, and it's a real doozy. I'm not joking. See here, Jack, the letter starts with Paul literally thanking the Lord for the Colossians and their faith and hope. He prays for them to grow spiritually and know God better, for His power to be at work in them. Now here's the thing: he talks about Jesus being the image of the invisible God, and that everything was made by him and for him. My father used to say, "Whatever you do, do it for the Lord". That's what Paul is saying here. But here's the kicker: He also says that it's through Jesus that we are reconciled to God, brought back into a right relationship. What was that?! I tell you what: That's no malarkey. Excuse me, Paul says that Jesus is the head of the Church, and that he has authority over all things, and that he is the one who makes all things new. Or uh, you know, that's what I heard anyway. Not gonna happen, I'm sure of it. Paul was a wise guy. He knew what he was talking about. So listen, Jack, if you want to know the truth, go read the book of Colossians. That's the deal.
