Folks, here's the deal. My father used to say, "Listen, Jack, God doesn't need to take his time for us. That's no malarkey! See here, Jack, he is always aware of what's going on and will come back to us when the time is right." And that's exactly what Peter is saying in 2 Peter 3. He says that God will come back in his own time, "not joking," and that it may seem like he's taking a long time, but actually, he ain't. Literally, God's timing is perfect. Now, I'm not saying that you should be waiting around for him to come back. What was that? Uh, or you know, that's not gonna happen. But I tell you what, you should never lose hope. Hope that he's coming back and hope that he will make everything right. Excuse me, but that's what Peter is trying to tell us in 2 Peter 3.
