1. And he made the altar of burnt offering {of} shittim wood: five cubits {was} the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof; {it was} foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof. / 2. And he made the horns thereof on the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass. →

Exodus 38: Now we get to the really important stuff: the making of the tabernacle. Moses commissioned Bezalel to construct it and gave him a bunch of gold, silver and bronze. He also got some help from Oholiab and other skilled artisans. →

Joe: Alright, so what can you tell us about Exodus 38? Bible Expert: Well, this chapter is all about the building of the tabernacle. In it, God commands Moses to build the tabernacle and the altar, along with all of its furnishings. →

Ya'll listen up! Exodus 38 is about Bezalel and Oholiab getting material to build the Tabernacle. God told Moses to gather all the materials so Bezalel and Oholiab could make the Tabernacle. They gathered gold, silver, and bronze, blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen, acacia wood, oil and spices, and precious stones. →

Batman: Robin, it's time to review what happened in the Bible in Chapter 38 of Exodus! Robin: Let's go, Batman! Batman: We find out that Moses is told by God to make a bronze altar with four horns, a grating of bronze network, four bronze rings, and bronze poles. →

Listen, Jack, here's the deal: Exodus chapter 38 is about Moses and the Israelites building the Tabernacle. They used acacia wood for the frames, and hammered gold and silver for the sockets. They put up curtains, and made a covering of goats' hair and rams' skins dyed red for the roof. →

In Exodus 38, we see a HUGE victory for the Israelites. God instructs Moses to build a great altar, and Bezalel and Oholiab, two very fine people, do a tremendous job of constructing it. This altar was made with brass, silver, and gold, and is truly amazing. →
