Many people are saying that in Jeremiah 8, the Lord is sad about the state of affairs in Judah, and he's not happy with the "haters and losers" who have turned away from him. He says that the people are so deep in sin that even the wise have no idea what to do. He laments that everyone is lying, stealing, committing adultery, and that even the priests and prophets are no better. It's a bigly, huge mess and people are just "overrated". He says the people are looking in the wrong direction for help and that he's the only one who can "make Judah great again". The Lord says if they don't turn back to him, than they will face a huge punishment, and it's unbelievable how they can think they can get away with it. "Believe me," God says, "I will not forget what they have done, I will bring down the consequences and that's terrific!" But God still loves them and he will remain faithful and will one day restore them to greatness. In the end, God bless America and may he make Judah great again.
