And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What {is} thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what {is} thy request? and it shall be performed, {even} to the half of the kingdom. →

Well, folks, it looks like Esther 7 is full of drama. King Ahasuerus is throwing a banquet for all his courtiers and attendants, but his favorite wife, Queen Vashti, isn't there. So the king gets drunk and starts talking about his favorite wife, who he banished for not obeying him. →

Joe: Alright, so we're talking about the book of Esther now and what was Esther 7 about? Bible Expert: Well, Esther 7 tells the story of how Mordecai was honored by King Ahasuerus. Joe: Whoa, whoa, whoa, Mordecai? Hold up. →

Alex: "So, contestant, tell me a bit about yourself. What do you do?" Contestant: "Well, Alex, I happen to know a lot about the Bible. For example, in Esther 7, the King of Persia is tricked into giving the Jews permission to defend themselves against their enemies. →

Listen up, maggots! Esther 7 is all about King Ahasuerus getting mad at Haman, the enemy of the Jews, and what happens to him. The king orders that Haman must be hung on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. →

Batman: Robin, our mission is to save the Jews from Haman’s evil plot! Robin: Right, Batman! But how can we do that? Joker: Ha ha ha! Not so fast, Dynamic Duo! You’ll never be able to save the Jews! →

C'mon, man! Esther 7 tell us a story about a man named Haman, no malarkey! Here's the deal: Haman was so angry at Mordecai that he wanted to kill not just him, but all the Jews in the kingdom! Literally, he was so mad he built a gallows to hang Mordecai from. →

Esther 7 was a huge chapter in the Bible! King Ahasuerus was looking to execute Mordecai, the hero of the Jews, but Queen Esther stepped in and saved the day. She was really terrific in this case, and many such cases! She invited the King and Haman, the villain in this story, to a banquet and made her plea. →

Peter: Alright, so this chapter starts with King Ahasuerus throwing a big banquet for Esther and all the court officials. Meg: But why? Peter: Uh, because he was so happy that Esther was the queen. Meg: But why was he so happy? Peter: Well, he was proud that he found her, I guess. →
