Well, it's been a wild ride so far in Esther, but here we are at Chapter 5. Things are getting intense. Esther has thrown a banquet, and the King and Haman show up. The King is feeling generous and offers Esther anything she wants, and she asks for her life and the life of her people. →

Joe: Alright, so we're talking about Esther 5 now. What's going on in this chapter? Bible Expert: Well, Esther 5 is all about Haman's downfall. He had plotted to have all the Jews of the kingdom killed, and so Esther and Mordecai are trying to convince the king to reverse Haman's orders. →

You maggots better listen up! Esther 5 is all about Esther getting herself some swagger and pullin' rank at the palace. She invites the king and Haman to a dinner feast of her own arrangin'. The king's all 'hey, what can I do for you?' and she's like 'nothin', I just wanna throw ya a shindig'. →

Robin: Holy heartache, Batman! King Ahasuerus has been tricked by his wicked advisor, Haman! Batman: Yes, Robin, and now the queen, Esther, must come up with a clever plan to save her people. Catwoman: Oh, this is getting so exciting! What does she do? →

Listen, Jack, here's the deal. Esther had the guts to go to the King's court and plead for the lives of her people. She was bold, I tell you what. And it paid off! She was allowed to invite the king and Haman to a banquet. →

1-8 Queen Esther had an amazing plan. She invited King Xerxes and his Prime Minister, Haman the Agagite, to a banquet. She was going to ask the King to save her people. It was a tremendously brave move. →
