Alex Trebek: So, contestant, tell us a bit about yourself.

Contestant: Well, Alex, I'd like to tell you about 2 Samuel 19.

Alex Trebek: [Sighs] Uh, okay. What is 2 Samuel 19 about?

Contestant: Well, in this chapter, King David returns to Jerusalem after being banished from the city. He is warmly welcomed by the people and reconciles with his rebellious son Absalom. He also appoints a new commander-in-chief to replace Joab, who had been a loyal servant to David but had recently been banished for his part in Absalom's uprising.

Alex Trebek: [Rolls eyes] Right. Alright, moving on. Anything else you'd like to tell us?

Contestant: Well, there's also a bit of drama in this chapter. David has to deal with Shimei, who had cursed him while he was exiled and now wants to be pardoned. David decides to let Shimei go and he eventually reconciles with David.

Alex Trebek: [Exasperated] Anything else?

Contestant: Yeah, there's one more thing. David also appoints some new judges to help him govern the kingdom.

Alex Trebek: [Sighs] Okay, that's enough about the Bible. Let's hear about something else.
