"C'mon, man! Listen, Jack, here's the deal: what does the Lord require of you? Folks, it's simple. Do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God. No malarkey! My father used to say, 'It's better to be humble than to be a haughty ruler.' I'm not joking. See here, Jack. You know what the Lord requires. So what was that? Love God, love your neighbor, and do the right thing. Or uh, you know, don't take advantage of the poor and needy, not gonna happen. I tell you what, don't forget what He has done for you, excuse me. He's been with you through thick and thin. Literally! It starts with loving the Lord with all your heart and then loving your neighbor as yourself. That's what they taught me growing up. So, folks, let's not forget our roots. We should remember the Lord's faithfulness even though it was a long time ago. Just 'cause it's been a while doesn't mean we don't remember.
