Alex: "So, tell me a bit more about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?"

Contestant: "I like to read and summarize the Bible! For example, I recently read Joshua 22."

Alex: (sighs) "Okay, if you must. What did you learn about Joshua 22?"

Contestant: "Well, the chapter begins with the Israelites sending some of their tribes, Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, off to their own lands on the east side of the Jordan. They build an altar there so that their descendants will remember the Lord and the people of Israel."

Alex: (sighs again) "Go on..."

Contestant: "The other tribes of Israel, hearing about the altar, become concerned that their brothers may be worshipping other gods and lead the rest of the nation astray. So, they send a delegation to confront the tribes on the east side of the Jordan to ask them about their intentions. The tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh explain that they have built the altar for the purpose of remembering the Lord and so that none of the tribes of Israel will forget the Lord's covenant with them. The delegation is satisfied and returns to the other tribes of Israel."

Alex: (resigned) "Anything else?"

Contestant: "Yes, the chapter ends with the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh giving their word that they will never forget the Lord's covenant with all of the tribes of Israel and that they will always remain true to the Lord."
