Alex Trebek: So, what did you do this summer?

Contestant: Well, I actually read the Bible, and I'd like to tell you about 1 Kings 11.

Alex Trebek (sighs): Okay then...

Contestant: In Chapter 11, we see King Solomon turning away from God and becoming involved in pagan worship and idolatry. God is angry and punishes Solomon by splitting the kingdom into two- Israel in the north and Judah in the south. God then brings forward Jeroboam, who becomes the king of northern Israel, and Rehoboam, who becomes the king of southern Judah.

Alex Trebek (with a look of annoyance): That's...interesting. Anything else?

Contestant: Yes, one more thing. God also brings forward the prophet Ahijah, who prophesizes that Jeroboam will become the leader of ten tribes. God then tells Jeroboam to remain faithful to Him, but Jeroboam refuses and sets up golden calves as idols of worship in Bethel and Dan.

Alex Trebek (sighs): Well, I'm sure that's fascinating, but let's talk about something else.
