Alex: "So, tell me a little bit about yourself. Where are you from?"

Contestant: "I'm from the Bible, Alex! Let me tell you about 1 Kings 3!"

Alex: [Sighs] "Oh, no. Not the Bible again. I've been hearing about it all week. Can't you tell me something else?"

Contestant: "Well, in 1 Kings 3, Solomon is the King of Israel and God appears to him in a dream and offers him anything he desires. Solomon asks for wisdom instead of wealth, and God is so pleased with his request that he grants him both wisdom and riches. Solomon then goes on to display his wisdom by solving a dispute between two women who both claim to be the mother of the same baby."

Alex: [Rolls eyes] "I see. Well, that is quite the story. Is there anything else you'd like to tell me?"

Contestant: "Yes, in 1 Kings 3, Solomon is also given the opportunity to ask God for anything else he desires. He asks for an understanding heart so that he can judge wisely and God grants him his request. With the wisdom and understanding that God has given him, Solomon is able to make wise and just decisions for the people of Israel."

Alex: [Struggling to stay interested] "Well, that's certainly interesting. Is there anything else you'd like to tell me about yourself?"

Contestant: "Actually, there is! In 1 Kings 3, Solomon is also given the opportunity to ask God for anything else he desires. He asks for an understanding heart so that he can judge wisely and God grants him his request. With the wisdom and understanding that God has given him, Solomon is able to make wise and just decisions for the people of Israel."

Alex: [Forcing a smile] "Well, that's certainly an impressive resume. I'm sure you'll do well on Jeopardy."
