Listen, Jack, here's the deal: In this chapter of the Bible, we see God's love for us. Literally, it says that if we are God's children, then it means that we strive to live in the way that God wants us to. My father used to say “to love is to be like God”, and that's what this chapter is all about. We are called to do what is right and to love our neighbors, and it's not gonna happen unless we take action. I tell you what: to be God's children, we have to be willing to share His love with others. We have to have a heart of compassion, and seek to do no malarkey when it comes to loving our neighbors. See here, Jack, if we have God's love in our hearts, we will be able to do the right thing and show that love to the world. Yes, yes, literally, the Bible tells us that the love of God is a powerful thing and it's something that we need to take seriously. That's why I'm not joking when I say that we need to live up to our calling as God's children and love others like He does. It's as simple as that - no excuses!
