Alex Trebek: Okay, so what do you do for a living?

Contestant: Actually, I wanted to tell you a bit about Job 21.

Alex Trebek: ...Uh, okay. What is it about?

Contestant: Job 21 is about Job's response to his friends who were accusing him of sinning and being punished for it. Job basically argues that the wicked often have prosperous and happy lives, and that he does not deserve the suffering he is enduring.

Alex Trebek: ...Right. So, what do you do for a living?

Contestant: Well, Job also expresses his frustration at how God is allowing the wicked to prosper, while he suffers.

Alex Trebek: ...Listen, I'm sure the Bible is interesting, but what do you do for a living?

Contestant: Well, in the end, Job acknowledges that God is in control and that no one can question Him or understand why He does what He does.

Alex Trebek: [sigh] Okay, so how about we talk about something else? Let's talk about what you do for a living.
