Alex Trebek: So, contestant, tell me a bit about yourself.

Contestant: Well Alex, I'm a huge fan of the Bible and I was hoping to tell you about the book of 2 Chronicles.

Alex Trebek: Ummmm, okay. What is 2 Chronicles about?

Contestant: 2 Chronicles tells the story of how the Kingdom of Judah fell into apostasy and God's judgment against them. It starts with Rehoboam, the son of King Solomon, becoming king of Judah. Rehoboam foolishly rejected the advice of the elders and instead listens to his young friends, leading to a rebellion in the kingdom. His rule is then challenged by the Egyptians, and Rehoboam and the people of Judah are forced to submit to them.

Alex Trebek: Oh, okay. So, what happened next?

Contestant: Well, the Egyptians plunder the temple and the royal palace, and Rehoboam realizes he has been disobedient to God. He humbles himself and repents, and God is merciful and does not destroy Judah. In 2 Chronicles 12, the Egyptian king Shishak invades Judah, and Rehoboam and his people are forced to pay tribute to Egypt. However, God is still merciful and sends a prophet to encourage the people of Judah not to be afraid and to remain faithful to Him. In the end, God saves Judah from Egypt and Rehoboam's reign continues.

Alex Trebek: [sighs] Alright then, moving on....
