Good evening, I'm Norm MacDonald with an update on the latest from Amos 3. So, God's been really mad at Israel, and he's using Amos to drive the point home. He's basically saying that Israel deserves punishment, because they've been bad and they know it. →

Joe: Alright, so we are here with our Bible Expert and we are talking about Amos 3. So, what's the deal with this chapter, man? Bible Expert: Well, Amos 3 is all about God's judgment against the Israelites for their sins. →

Alex Trebek: So, what do you do for a living? Contestant: Well, I'm actually studying the Bible! I'm in the middle of Amos 3 right now. Alex Trebek: [Rolls eyes] Alright, what does that say? Contestant: Well, it starts off with the Lord asking Amos why he should be surprised that something bad is about to happen to Israel. →

Listen up, troops! Amos 3 is all about God's judgment. God is warning His people that if they don't obey His commandments, He's gonna have to punish them. He's gonna have to teach them a lesson. He's gonna have to lay down the law. →

Batman: It seems like something sinister is afoot, Robin! Robin: That's for sure, Batman! The Lord has declared that He will send disaster upon the people of Israel because of their sins! Batman: That's right, Robin. →

Folks, listen up! Here's the deal. Amos 3 says, "Listen to me, you people of Israel! God has a message for you. My father used to say, 'You don't get something for nothing.' Well, that's what God is telling you. →

Amos 3 is a very, very important chapter in the Bible. It's unbelievable how much wisdom it contains. It's really tremendous! God talks about how there is nothing that happens without his knowledge. He says that he is the one who made Israel, and that the people of Israel should be on the lookout for the signs of his judgement. →
