Joe: Alright, welcome back everybody. We have a real treat today. We have a Bible expert joining us to give us a summary of the book of Psalms chapter by chapter. Let's give him a big round of applause.

Bible Expert: Thank you. It's a pleasure to be here.

Joe: Tell us about Psalms 77.

Bible Expert: Sure. Psalms 77 is a song of remembrance from Asaph, in which he recounts God's mighty works in history, and calls on the Lord for help in his distress. He remembers all the mighty acts of God, from the time of Moses and Aaron, to the time of David and Solomon. He remembers the great victories God gave to his people, including those at the Red Sea, the Jordan River, and the Valley of Beracah. He also reflects on how God answered the prayers of his people, including their deliverance from bondage in Egypt and their victory over their enemies.

Joe: Wow, that's really interesting. I mean, it's amazing to think of how powerful God is and how he has been with his people through thick and thin.

Jamie: Joe, I just Googled it and it looks like this psalm is one of the most popular ones in the Bible.

Joe: Well, that's not surprising. So, what else can you tell us about this chapter?

Bible Expert: Well, Asaph expresses his trust in God, acknowledging his faithfulness and compassion, even in times of difficulty. He also acknowledges that God's ways are not always easy to understand, but that he can still find comfort in knowing that God is with him and will never leave him. He ends the psalm with a prayer of praise and thanksgiving for God's faithfulness and mercy.
