Joe: Alright so let’s talk about Psalms 65. What do we got?

Bible Expert: Well Joe, this is a psalm of praise to God for answering prayer. It celebrates God's holiness and might, and recognizes His wonders.

Joe: What kind of wonders?

Bible Expert: Well Joe, it talks about God's power over nature, and how He answers the prayers of His people. He brings the rain to water the earth and the grass grows on the hills. He sends the snow like wool, and scatters the frost like ashes.

Joe: Whoa, that's pretty cool.

Jamie: I'm Googling it right now.

Joe: Great, let me know what you find.

Bible Expert: It also talks about how God forgives sin, and how He hears the prayers of the righteous. He crowns the year with His goodness and rewards those who seek Him.

Joe: So God is like Santa Clause, he gives out rewards to those who seek Him?

Bible Expert: In a way, yes. He rewards those who trust Him and put their hope in Him. He takes away their sins and showers them with His mercy.

Joe: Wow, so God is like a benevolent Santa Clause then?

Bible Expert: I suppose you could say that.

Joe: Alright, so what else does this Psalm talk about?

Bible Expert: Well, it talks about the peace and joy that come from knowing God and having Him in your life. It also talks about the beauty of His sanctuary and how He is praised in Zion.

Joe: Zion? What's that?

Bible Expert: Zion is a hill in Jerusalem and it's a place of great importance in the Bible.

Joe: Interesting. So this Psalm is basically saying that God is really powerful, really good, and really awesome, right?

Bible Expert: Yes, that's right. It's a psalm of praise and thanksgiving to God for all that He has done and all that He is.
