Joe: Alright, so what do we have in 2 Chronicles 29?

Bible Expert: Well, it's the story of King Hezekiah of Judah, who was determined to restore the worship of the Lord. He commanded the priests and Levites to consecrate themselves and the Temple of the Lord, and he also opened the doors of the Temple and commanded the people to bring offerings for the dedication.

Joe: Interesting. So what happened then?

Bible Expert: Well, the priests and Levites carried out Hezekiah's commands and began to cleanse the Temple. They removed all of the idols and cleared out the unclean things from the Temple. They also sacrificed burnt offerings, peace offerings, and sin offerings, and Hezekiah and the people rejoiced.

Joe: Wow, that's amazing. So what happened next?

Bible Expert: Well, Hezekiah then commanded the Levites to sing praises to the Lord, and they did. The people then offered a great number of sacrifices, and Hezekiah made a covenant with the Lord to obey his commands and keep his testimonies. He then commanded the people to keep the Passover, which they did.

Joe: That's incredible. So what was the result of all of this?

Bible Expert: Well, the Lord was pleased and blessed the people, and they were filled with joy. Hezekiah and the people of Judah then kept the Passover for seven days and made other offerings to the Lord. The Lord then restored Judah and brought peace to the land.
