Joe: Alright, so what do we got for me today?

Bible Expert: Well, today we are taking a look at 2 Chronicles 35.

Joe: Alright, let's jump in.

Bible Expert: This chapter opens with King Josiah of Judah, who was only 8 years old at the time, taking the throne. He set out to restore true worship to the Lord, and he did so by sending out a proclamation throughout all of Judah, commanding them to celebrate the Passover of the Lord.

Joe: Woah, 8 years old? And he was already doing all this?

Bible Expert: Yes, he was. He was very committed to the Lord and to restoring true worship. He even went so far as to restore the vessels of the Lord's house which had been neglected and desecrated by his predecessors. He also gave his own personal offerings to the Lord.

Joe: Wow, that's pretty amazing.

Bible Expert: It is. So then he gathered all the Levites and the priests to celebrate the Passover and to offer sacrifices to the Lord. He even provided for them with food and drink, so that they could serve the Lord without distraction.

Joe: Interesting. So, what happened next?

Bible Expert: Well, then the people celebrated the Passover and feasted for seven days. After that, Josiah sent the people home and restored the cities of Judah. He also set up judges throughout the land to deal with any disputes or controversies.

Joe: That's pretty impressive.

Bible Expert: Indeed. And lastly, Josiah was killed in battle and the people mourned him greatly.

Joe: That's a real shame. So, that's it for 2 Chronicles 35?

Bible Expert: That's it. The chapter ends with the people of Judah mourning Josiah's death.
