Alex Trebek: Alright, so tell me a bit about yourself.

Contestant: Well, I thought I'd tell you a bit about the Bible! Specifically, I wanted to tell you about the book of Mark, chapter 12.

Alex Trebek: [Sighing] Okay, I guess we can talk about the Bible. What's the gist of it?

Contestant: In Mark 12, Jesus is asked a series of questions by the Pharisees and Sadducees, which He answers with authority and wisdom. He then tells them the greatest commandment is to love God with all one's heart, soul, and mind, and the second is to love one's neighbor as oneself. He then tells them the parable of the vineyard and how the tenants of the vineyard are rejected by their master, and how the kingdom of God will be taken from them and given to others. Finally, Jesus warns the scribes for their hypocrisy, and teaches about the importance of giving to God and taking care of the poor.

Alex Trebek: [Rolling his eyes] Right, that's great. Anything else?

Contestant: Yes, Jesus then goes on to tell the parable of the widow's mite, and how even though she gave what she had, it was more than those who gave out of their abundance. He then tells the parable of the great banquet, and how those who were invited refused to come.

Alex Trebek: [Hesitating] Uh, okay. Anything else?

Contestant: Yes, Jesus then warns against greed, and tells the parable of the evil tenants. He also talks about the resurrection, and is asked questions about the afterlife.

Alex Trebek: [Exasperated] Alright, I think that's enough about the Bible for now. Let's move onto something else.
