Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain. →

Well, folks, it's time for the weekly Bible recap and we've got a real doozy for ya today: Zechariah 8. This one's a real head-scratcher, but here goes...Zechariah basically tells us that God wants us to return to Jerusalem and to start living better lives. →

Joe: Alright, we're talking about Zechariah 8 right? What's the scoop? Bible Expert: Zechariah 8 is all about the restoration of Jerusalem and the promise of a much better future. It's full of hope, and God is telling the people of Jerusalem to prepare for a better future and to remain faithful to Him. →

Alex: "So tell me a little bit about yourself." Contestant: "Well, I'm a big fan of the Bible and I wanted to tell you about the Book of Zechariah." Alex: *groaning* "Oh no, not again. Can't we talk about something else?" →

GOT IT?! Zechariah 8: God's gonna bring back his people and give 'em the city of Jerusalem. He's gonna make 'em strong and they'll be a light to the nations. God's gonna give 'em peace and justice and make Jerusalem a holy place. →

Batman: Old man Zechariah had a vision, Robin. He heard the Lord of Hosts speaking to him. Robin: What did the Lord say, Batman? Batman: He said that the Lord of Hosts will be with His people in Zion, and that He will return to Jerusalem to dwell there forever. →

Folks! Here's the deal: Zechariah 8 is all about the restoration of Jerusalem. No malarkey! I'm not joking. C'mon, man! God promises even more restoration for his people, and it's gonna be incredible. Literally! My father used to say, "it's gonna be bigger and better than anything we can imagine. →

Zechariah 8 is great again! God says that many people are saying He will return to Jerusalem with great success and that the city will be full of joy and happiness. He says that the city will be filled with people from many nations who have come to honor the Lord. →

[Scene: Peter is sitting on the couch reading a Bible.] Lois: Peter, what are you doing? Peter: I'm reading the Bible. I'm up to Zechariah 8. Lois: What's it about? Peter: It's about how God tells the people to return to Him and how He will bless them and make Jerusalem great again. →
