Well, folks, it looks like the prophet Zechariah is back with another chapter of his work! In Chapter 2, he's got a vision of a man with a measuring line in his hand. And then, out of nowhere, four chariots come out of heaven, pulled by horses of different colors. →

Joe: Alright, so let's talk about Zechariah 2. What's the gist of this chapter? Bible Expert: Well Joe, Zechariah 2 is all about God's promise of protection for the people of Jerusalem. It starts off with a vision of a man with a measuring line, and it's symbolic of the Lord measuring the city of Jerusalem. →

Listen up, you maggots! Zechariah 2 is all about a vision that Zechariah has of a man with a measuring line. This man is sent from God to measure Jerusalem and to mark it off as His own. God says that He is coming soon to dwell in Jerusalem and that He will be a wall of fire all around it and that His glory will be within it. →

Robin: Holy smoke! Look, Batman, it's the prophet, Zechariah! Batman: Greetings, Zechariah, what news do you bring? Zechariah: I bring the word of the Lord: A great multitude shall come to Jerusalem and the city shall be inhabited by those who will live in it. →

Listen, Jack, I tell you what, here's the deal. The Lord is gonna send his angel to measure out Jerusalem, and I'm not joking, folks, it's gonna be like a wall of fire around it, literally. See here, Jack, no malarkey! The Lord says Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the number of people and animals in it, excuse me. →

Zechariah 2 is a terrific chapter! Believe me, many people are saying this is one of the best chapters in the Bible. It starts with God sending his messenger to measure the city of Jerusalem. Jerusalem is a great city--it's huge, and it's about to get even bigger. →

Peter: Alright, so, Zechariah 2 starts off with the Angel of the Lord standing on Jerusalem's wall, telling the people to flee from Babylon and return to their homeland. He promises God's protection and says that the Lord will be a wall of fire around them. →
