Well, Joel 2 is really just one long, angry rant from God. He starts off by warning all of us that He's about to unleash some “awful things” on us, and then goes on to describe a bunch of disasters like fire, darkness, and a whole lot of locusts. →

Joe: Alright, let's talk about Joel Chapter 2! So, what's the chapter about? Bible Expert: Well Joe, Joel 2 is about the coming of the Day of the Lord, a time of judgment and destruction from God. It's a time of judgment against the enemies of God, but also of salvation and hope for those who are faithful to him. →

Alex: Alright contestant, tell me a little about yourself. Contestant: Well, I would like to talk about the Bible. Specifically, Joel 2. Alex: (Sighs) Okay...go ahead. Contestant: Joel 2 is about a prophecy of the coming of the Day of the Lord which will bring great destruction. →

ATTENTION! Listen up and listen good. This is Joel 2, and it's all about God's mercy. God is gonna show mercy on His people, and send a great army to fight for them. He's gonna send a great fire to destroy their enemies. →

Batman: Prepare yourselves, Robin, for we must venture into the book of Joel! Robin: Holy prophecy, Batman! What will we find? Joker: Ha ha ha! What will you find? I'll tell you what you'll find, my dears—terror and destruction! →

Folks, here's the deal: when I was a kid, my father used to tell me about the book of Joel, you know, no malarkey. Joel 2 is about a prophet who predicts a terrible swarm of locusts in the land of Judah, c'mon, man! He warns them of the terrors of the locusts, saying that they will devour every green thing and leave the land barren. →

Joel 2: Bigly amazing things are happening! God is reaching out to His people, saying "Return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning." Many people are saying that this is a sad! time, but God is offering a great again way out - He will restore what the locusts have taken away. →

Peter: Alrighty, here's the deal with Joel 2: Some locusts come and destroy all the crops, and God's like, "Oh no, this is a bummer." So he sends his peeps to tell the people that he's gonna give them another chance and to change their ways. →
