Folks, I'm not joking, here's the deal: the old way of doing things—you know, the way of the old covenant—is passé. C'mon, man! That was literally thousands of years ago. My dad used to say that that was a different time, a different age. →

Hebrews 8 is a terrific chapter! It talks about how Jesus is a High Priest who is much better than the old priests of the law, who were overrated! Many people are saying that Jesus' priesthood is based on a better covenant, and that because of his sacrifice, believers can have a better relationship with God! That's huge! It's an amazing covenant that God made with the people of Israel, and it's much better than the old one! It's unbelievable - it promises a new relationship of grace, and that God will forgive and forget the sins of his people, so that they can be made great again! Sad! The old covenant was made with the people of Israel, but this new covenant is made with all believers in Jesus. →
