King Joash was a terrific ruler - many people are saying he was one of the best in the history of Israel. He had a deep faith in God, and when the temple of the Lord needed repairs, he stepped up to the plate and did it BIGLY. He gathered the priests and Levites and told them to use the money from the people's offerings to repair the temple. He even set up a chest at the temple entrance and had the people drop in their offerings - it was amazing to see all the people coming together to help!

But not everyone was happy. Some of the officials who were in charge of the temple funds were trying to keep the money for themselves. Joash was so mad that he had them arrested and punished for their misdeeds.

But even with the funds, the repairs were taking too long and Joash decided to take matters into his own hands. He got rid of the officials and appointed new ones to oversee the repairs - and with their help, the temple was quickly restored. Joash was so pleased with the results that he had a celebration, and everyone praised the Lord for His goodness.

In the end, Joash was a great king who put the needs of his people first. He showed tremendous faith and commitment to the Lord, and he was able to make the temple of the Lord great again. God bless America!
