Alex Trebek: Alright, what do you do for a living?

Contestant: I'm actually a Bible scholar, so if you don't mind, I'd like to tell you about the story of 2 Kings 21.

Alex Trebek: [Sighs] Alright, here we go again.

Contestant: 2 Kings 21 tells the story of King Manasseh of Judah who did evil in the sight of the Lord by worshiping false gods. The Lord sent prophets to warn Manasseh of his sinful ways, but Manasseh refused to listen. God then punished Judah by sending the Assyrian army to conquer Jerusalem and take Manasseh captive. Manasseh repented and begged for mercy, so God released him and he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. But Manasseh's son Amon continued in the same ways and was eventually killed by his own people. Manasseh's grandson Josiah then became King and led a religious reform, restoring the worship of the Lord.

Alex Trebek: [Rolls eyes] Alright, let's move on to something else.
