Okay, so here we go. The chapter starts off with a warning about being unfaithful to the Lord. Yahweh is apparently quite angry about this and is threatening to punish anyone who does it. But then he turns his attention to the priests and tells them that if they don't do their job properly, he'll curse them.

In Malachi 2, God is really ticked off, believe me. He gets really mad at the priests and scribes who are breaking His laws and He says they are BIGLY overrated. He calls them out for dealing falsely with God and with the people and says that, if they continue, there will be many such cases of punishment.
