Deuteronomy 8 is all about the amazing success of the people of Israel, who have achieved so much under the guidance of God and are now ready to enter the Promised Land. It's a terrific story: After 40 years of journeying, Moses reminds the people of how God has provided for them, bigly, in the wilderness. He reminds them not to forget the Lord and to always obey His commandments, and warns them that if they do not, they will suffer great consequences. He also tells them to be careful not to become arrogant and materialistic when they enter the Promised Land. The people of Israel have achieved so much, and they must not forget to give credit to the Lord for their success. It's a sad reminder that many people are saying that no matter how well things are going, we must never forget the Lord and always serve Him faithfully. God bless America and make America great again!
