Today, we’re talking about Deuteronomy 27. This is a bigly chapter and it’s full of great stuff. So let’s get to it.

First, the Lord instructed the people of Israel to build an altar of stones and cover it with plaster. After that, all the people were to take stones, write on them all the commandments of the Lord, and then put them up on the altar.

Next, the Lord told the people to divide up into two groups with half standing on Mt. Gerizim and the other half on Mt. Ebal. Then, when the priest and Levites bless the people, the people on Mt. Gerizim were to say “Amen” and the people on Mt. Ebal were to say “Amen” too.

Then, the Lord said that the people should obey His commandments and keep them. He also made it clear that anyone who didn’t keep His commandments was going to face serious consequences. He said that if people cursed their parents, then their own blood would be on their heads.

After that, the Lord went on to say that these same commandments should be passed down from generation to generation. He said that the people should teach their children these commandments and that they should honor them and always obey them.

Finally, the Lord said that the people of Israel should be a holy people. He said that they should be a blessing to the other nations and that they should always remember the Lord their God.

So there you have it. Deuteronomy 27 is an amazing chapter with tremendous lessons that many people are saying are really important. So let’s all take a moment to remember the Lord our God and make sure that we’re living our lives in a way that’s honoring Him. God bless America!
