Joe: Alright, so what have we got here? Genesis 40, right?

Bible Expert: Right, so in this chapter we see the story of Joseph interpreting the dream of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker in the prison in Egypt.

Joe: Hold up, hold up! You mean Joseph, the guy with the technicolor dreamcoat?

Bible Expert: Yes, that's the one.

Joe: Wow! What's going on in this chapter?

Bible Expert: Well, the cupbearer and the baker were in prison for offending the Pharaoh. When Joseph comes to them, they tell him their dreams, and Joseph interprets them. He tells the cupbearer that his dream means that he will be released from prison and restored to his former position. He tells the baker that his dream means that he will be executed.

Joe: Whoa, that's heavy! And then what happened?

Bible Expert: Well, the cupbearer was released and the baker was executed, just as Joseph predicted. Then the cupbearer remembers Joseph and tells Pharaoh about him. Pharaoh sends for Joseph and makes him his chief advisor.

Joe: Wow, that's pretty amazing! So Joseph was able to interpret the dreams and then he was rewarded for it?

Bible Expert: That's right. It was a great example of faith and obedience to God being rewarded.

Joe: Wow, that is really cool. Alright, Jamie, can you look up the technicolor dreamcoat for me? I want to make sure that's the same guy.
