Joe: Alright, so what have we got for Genesis 7?

Bible Expert: Well, Genesis 7 talks about the Great Flood - God's judgment on the wickedness of mankind.

Joe: Woah! Hold up there, that sounds pretty intense. So, is this really true?

Jamie: (Googling) Yeah, Joe, it looks like it's true!

Joe: Wow, ok, so go on.

Bible Expert: Right, so God tells Noah to build an ark and gather two of every kind of animal on the earth. He then sends a great flood to cover the earth and destroy all of the wickedness. But Noah and his family and the animals are safe in the ark.

Joe: That's wild! So, what happens next?

Bible Expert: Well, after 150 days, the floodwaters begin to recede and the ark comes to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Noah then sends out a raven and a dove to check if the waters have abated. Eventually, the dove returns with an olive branch, signaling that the flood has ended and the earth is starting to be restored.

Joe: Amazing! So, what does God say to Noah?

Bible Expert: God promises to never again send a flood to cover the earth and makes a covenant with Noah and all of mankind. He puts a rainbow in the sky as a sign of his promise.
