Alex Trebek: Well, tell me a bit about yourself.

Contestant: Actually, I was just reading the Bible and wanted to summarize the book of Hosea chapter 13 for you.

Alex Trebek: [sighs] Okay. What is it about?

Contestant: In Hosea 13, God is angry with the people of Israel for their idolatry and unfaithfulness. He warns them that if they do not repent, they will be destroyed. He also promises them that if they do repent, he will restore them.

Alex Trebek: [rolls eyes] Well, that's nice. Anything else?

Contestant: Yes, actually. In this chapter, God also makes a comparison between Israel and a wild ox, saying that just as the ox is trapped and then released, so too will Israel be trapped and then released from its bondage.

Alex Trebek: [sighs] Alright, I suppose that's something.
