Joe: Alright, now what have we got here? Jeremiah 11, let's hear it!

Bible Expert: Well Joe, Jeremiah 11 is mostly a lamentation by Jeremiah, the prophet. We see God's anger and disappointment with the people of Judah and their lack of faithfulness and loyalty to God's covenant.

Joe: Hang on, so they weren't following God's rules?

Bible Expert: That's right Joe. God had promised to protect and bless His people if they kept His covenant, but instead, they were disobedient and worshipped false gods.

Joe: Wow, that's rough.

Jamie: So what did God do?

Bible Expert: Well, He warned Jeremiah to be careful and not trust anyone from the towns of Judah. He also warned that their enemies would come and attack them if they didn't repent and return to Him.

Joe: So, did the people listen?

Bible Expert: Unfortunately, no. They continued to disobey, so God sent His judgment upon them in the form of foreign armies who would come and destroy them.

Joe: That's pretty intense. So, is there anything else we should know?

Bible Expert: Yes, Jeremiah 11 ends with an ominous warning that God will bring disaster upon Judah if they do not repent and turn back to Him.
