Joe: Alright, Jamie, you ready?

Jamie: Yup, ready when you are.

Joe: Alright, so we've got a Bible expert on the show to walk us through the book of Acts, chapter by chapter. Let's start with chapter 27.

Bible Expert: Chapter 27 of Acts tells the story of Paul's journey to Rome. Paul had been arrested in Jerusalem and was being sent to Rome for trial. He boarded a ship in Caesarea and set sail for Italy.

Joe: Wait, wait, wait...so Paul was arrested and sent to Rome for trial? What was he on trial for?

Bible Expert: He was on trial for preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Joe: Wow, that's intense. So, what happened when he was on the ship?

Bible Expert: Well, the ship encountered a severe storm and was in danger of sinking. But Paul stood up and assured the crew and passengers that they wouldn't perish. He encouraged them to eat because they had been fasting and they were all eventually able to make it safely to Malta.

Joe: That's incredible. So Paul was able to save the ship and all the passengers?

Bible Expert: Yes, he was. After they arrived in Malta, they stayed there for a few months and then eventually set sail for Rome. When they arrived in Rome, Paul was allowed to stay in his own rented house and he was allowed to preach and teach in the city.

Joe: Amazing. So Paul was able to make it to Rome and continue his mission.

Bible Expert: Yes, he was. And in the end, he was able to continue preaching and teaching the gospel until his death.
