Joe: Alright, so what's going on in Acts 18?

Bible Expert: Well, in this chapter, Paul has left Athens and gone to Corinth. He meets Aquila and Priscilla, a Jewish couple who have recently been expelled from Rome by the Emperor Claudius. They all become friends and they all start working together in the synagogue. Paul spends the next year and a half teaching and debating in the synagogue, trying to convince the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.

Joe: Whoa, whoa, whoa. So Paul is basically going around trying to convert Jews to Christianity?

Bible Expert: Yes, that's right.

Joe: Did he have any success?

Bible Expert: Not really. Most of the Jews in Corinth rejected Paul's message. However, some of the Gentiles did believe and became followers of Jesus.

Joe: Interesting. What happens next?

Bible Expert: Well, while Paul is in Corinth, he has a vision. In this vision, a man from Macedonia tells him to go there. So Paul and his companions leave Corinth and go to Macedonia.

Joe: Wow, so Paul had a vision and he followed it?

Bible Expert: Yes, that's right.

Joe: What happened in Macedonia?

Bible Expert: In Macedonia, Paul and his companions preached the gospel. They had some success there and eventually, Paul returned to Corinth. He continued to preach and teach there for another eighteen months before eventually returning to Jerusalem and then later on to Rome.
