Joe: Alright, so, we got a Bible expert here with us today. Let's hear what he has to say about Acts 26.
Bible Expert: So, in this chapter, Paul is standing before King Agrippa. He is defending himself against the accusations of the Jewish people. He explains the way he used to live as a persecutor of the Christian faith, and how he was converted by a light from heaven and a voice from God.
Joe: Wait, hold up, what are you talking about? A light from heaven? Did you see it?
Bible Expert: Yes, Paul saw a light from heaven and a voice from God, and it changed his life.
Joe: Oh man, that's wild! What did the voice say?
Bible Expert: The voice said, "Saul, why are you persecuting me?" And then Paul replied, "Who are you, Lord?"
Joe: Crazy! And then what happened?
Bible Expert: Well, then Paul told the King about his conversion, and how he was called by God to be an apostle to the Gentiles.
Joe: Wow, that's amazing. So, what happened after that?
Bible Expert: Well, King Agrippa didn't believe Paul's story and said that he was almost convinced to become a Christian. But then Paul made a powerful statement, saying, "I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness."
Joe: Whoa, that's powerful.
Bible Expert: Yes, it is. Paul then concluded his defense by saying, "Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance."
Joe: Man, that's some powerful stuff. So, what happened after that?
Bible Expert: Well, King Agrippa and Festus thought Paul was innocent, but they still wanted him to stand trial in Rome. So, Paul was sent to Rome, where he was eventually released.
