Joe: Alright, I'm here with a Bible Expert, and we're gonna take a look at the book of Acts, chapter 22. So what's happening in this chapter?

Bible Expert: Well, in this chapter we see Paul giving his testimony to the crowd in Jerusalem. He starts by telling them that he was a student of Gamaliel, one of the most respected teachers of the law of the time. He then goes on to explain that he persecuted the church before Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus.

Joe: Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Jesus appeared to him?

Jamie: Hold on, let me Google this real quick.

Joe: Alright, go ahead.

Jamie: Yeah, so it says here that Paul was on the way to Damascus to persecute the followers of Jesus when a light from heaven suddenly shone around him. Jesus then spoke to him and told him to go to Damascus and he would be told what to do.

Joe: Wow, that's crazy. Okay, so what else happened?

Bible Expert: Well, then Paul went to Damascus and he was baptized and began preaching about Jesus. He also mentions that he was sent by God to preach to the Gentiles, which was met with some opposition from the people in Jerusalem.

Joe: Interesting. So what else happened in this chapter?

Bible Expert: Well, Paul then goes on to tell the people of Jerusalem that he was sent to the Gentiles to proclaim the good news of Jesus, and he was sent there to open the eyes of the Gentiles so they can turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Finally, Paul was taken away by the commander of the Roman guard, who wanted to know why the crowd was so angry with him.
