Contestant: Well, I'm a Christian, and I'd like to tell you about the Bible. Specifically, I'd like to talk about Daniel 7.

Alex Trebek: (sighs) Okay...

Contestant: So in Daniel 7, God gives Daniel a vision of four beasts coming up out of the sea. The first beast is a lion with eagles' wings, the second is a bear, the third is a leopard with four heads and four wings, and the fourth is an unspecified beast with iron teeth and ten horns.

Alex Trebek: (tries to change the subject) So, what do you do when you're not studying the Bible?

Contestant: Well, I also work in a soup kitchen. But anyway, in the vision, Daniel sees a heavenly figure, who is the Ancient of Days, come to judge the beasts. The Ancient of Days gives power to the fourth beast and its ten horns, and it's revealed that the beast is a symbol for a human kingdom.

Alex Trebek: (clearly annoyed) That's very interesting. So, what kind of music do you like?

Contestant: Oh, I like a bit of everything. But anyway, in the vision, Daniel also sees a little horn arise and subdue three of the other horns. The little horn is a symbol of a wicked king, and it's revealed that the other beasts are symbols of four earthly kingdoms.

Alex Trebek: (visibly frustrated) I see. So, what do you like to do for fun?

Contestant: Well, I volunteer at a local animal shelter. But anyway, the vision ends with Daniel being told that the fourth beast will be destroyed and replaced by the kingdom of God.
