Joe: Alright, we're back! We're talking Bible chapters with our Bible Expert and I'm really excited to hear about Exodus 28! What's going on?

Bible Expert: Well Joe, Exodus 28 is all about the priestly garments. The Lord commands Moses to have Aaron and his sons dressed in holy garments made of fine linen and gold. The garments included a breastplate and ephod, a robe, a turban, and linen breeches.

Joe: Whoa, this is getting heavy! What do the garments do?

Bible Expert: These garments were to be used to distinguish the priests from the rest of the people and to represent the holiness of their office. They were also used for the priestly service of making intercession for the people.

Joe: Interesting! So what does the breastplate look like?

Bible Expert: It's a square piece of cloth about nine inches long and wide, with four rows of precious stones set in gold, each stone inscribed with the name of one of the 12 tribes of Israel.

Joe: Wow, that's a lot of detail! What about the ephod?

Bible Expert: The ephod is a ceremonial garment worn by the high priest. It's made of gold, blue, purple and scarlet yarn and decorated with onyx stones and gold settings.

Joe: Amazing! This is like something out of a movie! Jamie, can you Google what this stuff looks like?

Jamie: Sure, Joe!
